Spanish Immersion Program in Mexico

      

About the Program:

  • Texas A&M and Kukulcan Educational Spanish Community offer a unique intensive language and cultural learning experience in Cuernavaca, Mexico. 
  • Aggies may take Spanish courses in the beginning level (100), intermediate level (200) and/or advanced levels (300 and 400). Kukulcan is embedded within a local school (Colegio Cuernavaca), what allows aggies to interact with over 400 Mexican students daily. 
  • Native faculty, with vast experience and credentials for teaching college students are the perfect combination to the Spanish communicative approach.

Program Highlights:


 
  • Aggies have the option to decide when to enroll in the program and for how long. Immersions begin every other Monday and are offered all year long (fall, winter, spring, summer). They can be as short as three weeks or as long as a full semester. 
  • Personalized attention with an average of 5 students per class. 
  • Intensive schedule (25 lessons a week, Monday through Friday).
  • Language program with various Spanish levels covering beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Students are placed on an appropriate class level via verbal and written exam performed upon arrival. There is no need to know Spanish in advance.
  • Transfer credits toward your Texas A&M curriculum.
  • Native professors who guarantee speaking only in Spanish.
  • Everyday practice, by living with a carefully chosen Mexican family and attending a local school "Colegio Cuernavaca" with over 400 native students.
